Using the internet as a tool to connect with and share with nurses, healthcare providers, parents, technology lovers, and more, TheNerdyNurse.com started as a soapbox against lateral violence in nursing, and a forum for personal rants and raves, and has evolved into a social media force utilized by nurses, and non-nurses alike.
Resources for lateral violence available, including personal struggles to overcome challenges faced when starting as a new nurse and almost simultaneously losing a mother and gaining a husband and. Insights and opinions about working as a nurse with a passion for innovation in healthcare a true love for technology. Nursing Informatics and several occasions of being nerdy (general gushing about gadgets and the wonders of sci-fi becoming realities) can be found.
Connecting with others, and facilitating the connections of people who faces similar dilemmas and and looking for understanding, coping, and to know they are not alone.
